
Benedict XVI concluded his series of catechesis on the life and teachings of Saint Paul. He focused on the Apostle's martyrdom, as well as his legacy in the Catholic Church.
Benedict XVIPaul was a generous Apostle and an original thinker, but not the "new founder" of Christianity, as some have claimed. By listening to his teaching, may we be strengthened in our commitment to Christ, so as to take part joyfully in the Church's mission of evangelization!
Benedict XVI has dedicated 20 catecheses to Saint Paul. The Vatican publishing house is compiling them into a special book which will be released in a few weeks.
There are still several months to go in the Pauline Year. It ends on June 29th, the feast day of Saint Paul.
