YoutubeNovember 28, 2012. (Romereports.com) Pilgrims from all continents packed Paul VI Hall Wednesday for the Pope's 40th general audience of the year.

More than 5000 pilgrims listened to Benedict XVI as he continued dialogue on the Year of Faith. He spoke about the best way to speak about God today, and cited the importance of families to talk openly about their faith

BENEDICT XVI
“In the task of bringing God to our contemporaries, families play a privileged role, for in them, the life of faith is lived daily in joy, dialogue, forgiveness and love.”

Ahead of World Aids Day on December 1, the Pope also voiced his support to ecclesiastical groups and causes dedicated to stemming the AIDS epidemic.

During the audience, he particularly cited the millions of deaths and suffering caused by AIDS in some of the poorest countries in the world, where access to treatment is severely limited.

BENEDICT XVI
“In particular, my thoughts are with the large number of children that contracted the virus from their mothers, despite therapies to prevent it.”

During the audience, Benedict XVI also greeted visitors from around the world, in particular, nearly 500 members from the Italian court system, as well as a group of about 90 lay leaders from dioceses from all over South Korea.
