Benedict XVI meets with representatives of the Syro-Malabar Church from India

October 17, 2011. (Romereports.com) (-ONLY VIDEO-) Benedict XVI received members of the permanent synod from the Syro-Malabar Church in India, led by Major Archbishop George Alencherry.

The pope stressed the good work and service done by the Syro-Malabar in India and asked them to maintain peace and harmony in the region, despite the persecution aimed at Christians in certain areas.
