November 23, 2012. (Romereports.com) Benedict XVI welcomed Lebanese President Michel Suleiman on Friday, two months after the Pope's visit to the Middle Eastern country.
The meeting took place ahead of Saturday's Consistory, where
Lebanese Patriarch Bechara Boutrus Al-Rahi will be created a cardinal. Suleiman will witness the Consistory, along with a delegation of
nearly 500 countrymen and women.
During the visit, th
e Lebanese president gave Benedict XVI an antique art image of the Madonna, as well as a photo album of the pontiff's recent visit to Land of Cedars.
