May 21, 2011. (Romereports.com) For
20 minutes, the pope will be speaking with the crew of the
International Space Station. This will make Benedict
XVI the first pope in history to hold a conversation with astronauts
in space.
The crew includes
astronauts from the U.S, Russia and Italy. But the pope will give a
special address to Italian Roberto Vittori. During the conversation,
the colonel will be wearing a silver pendant given to him by the
pope. Benedict the XVI also plans to speak with Paolo Nespoli, an
engineer at the space station.
