Bishop in Tripoli condemns violence that killed US Ambassador to Libya and asks not to offend Muslims

YoutubeSeptember 12, 2012. (Romereports.com) An attack on the U.S. embassy in Libya has claimed the life of Ambassador Chris Stevens and three other U.S. officials. The apostolic vicar in Tripoli, Bishop Giovanni Martinelli condemned the attacks and asked that people avoid offending the religious sensitivities of the Muslim population.

He noted in a statement, “The Arab countries are engaged in historical changes, throwing gas on religious outrage is very dangerous.” In the same message condemned violence that was aroused by a video that was published online that was critical of Islam and the prophet Muhammad.
