June 6, 2012. (Romereports.com) Anne Catherine Emmerich had visions for most of her life. Many were on the life of the mother of Jesus. The stories are told in the book “The Hidden Life of the Virgin Mary”.
It tells the story of the Virgin Mary's own birth and the early years of
her life. It covers her wedding with Joseph, visits with her cousin
Elizabeth, the birth of Jesus, the visit of the Magi and other passages
that don't appear in the Bible.
The visions were collected by the German poet and novelist Clement
Brentano, starting in 1818, he spent six years visiting the stigmatized
nun to hear her tell about the visions.
Years later, Mel Gibson used her visions on Jesus to write the film “Passion of the Christ”.
