August 28, 2012. (Romereports.com) It was already known that Cardinal Timothy Dolan of New York, would be giving a blessing at the Republican Convention. But on Tuesday, his Archdiocese confirmed that Dolan will also be giving a blessing at next week's Democratic National Convention in North Carolina.

From the start, Dolan made it clear that he would not play favorites or give into partisan politics. After accepting Romney's invitation, he told Obama's campaign that he would also be willing to give a blessing at the Democratic Convention.

Up until Tuesday, Obama's campaign had not responded, at least publicly, to Dolan's invitation.

The Cardinal will be offering a closing prayer at both conventions.
