June 1, 2012. (Romereports.com) Changes continue to come for the Regnum Christi and the Legionaries of Christ. Cardinal Velasio de Paolis, the delegate of the Pope to the Congregation, has sent new regulations to all the consecrated men and women of Regnum Christi.
In a letter written by the Pontifical delegate, he says this update
serves to fix rules that were incomplete and others that were too
restrictive. The change is intended to be a point of reference for
living the Gospel and a consecration to Jesus Christ.
This new regulation contains two key main directives: the first is meant
to "harmonize the spiritual elements with the internal norms" and the
second to “establish that the rules should not unnecessarily increased”.
De Paolis's letter also notes that the committee will be established by
the new governments to review the statutes and must have these new
directives in mind.
These new rules will come into force on June 1 and will only be
temporary until a final version is made for the consecrated members of
Regnum Christi.
