
November 16, 2012. (Romereports.com) Mexico's Episcopal Conference has a new leader.
Cardinal Francisco Robles was elected by his fellow Mexican bishops, to lead the conference for the next three years.
The 63 year old became a cardinal in 2007 and he is also the Archbishop of Guadalajara. He grew up in a large family, as he is the third of 16 siblings.
He replaces Msgr. Carlos Aguiar, who currently serves as the president of the Latin American Episcopal Conference. Both Aguiar and Robles, recently visited Rome to take part in the Synod of Bishops on the New Evangelization.
