February 29, 2012. (Romereports.com) The Archbishop of Washington DC, Cardinal Donald Wuerl has joined the ranks of other Church leaders that write their own blog.
 
It's called Seek First the Kingdom, where he says he plans to write about the “Catholic faith, what it teaches, why it's so important” not only to him but to everyone.


The site already has a photos and Youtube videos, like this one of the cardinal taking possession of Rome's Basilica of St. Peter in Chains, the archbishop's titular church.

The blog also has links to the Twitter and Facebook account of the Archdiocese of Washington. There, they publish photos and videos of events from the nation's capital.

Cardinal Wuerl is not the first Catholic Cardinal to begin blogging. Boston's Sean Patrick O'Malley has been preaching in cyberspace since 2006.

Seek First the Kingdom is also the name of the cardinal's new book which he released last year. The blog will help to spread his message far behind Washington to the corners of the internet.
