The Catholic Church in Mongolia is celebrating its 20th anniversary. The first Catholic mission
in that country began 20 years ago. Now, Mongolia has roughly 800 Catholics.
As part of the celebration, a new parish will open this year, for a total of five. Among other Church representatives, Msgr. Savio Hon Tai-Fai, who serves as the Secretary of the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples, is taking part in the festivities.
All as a way to mark the 20th anniversary of the Church in this small country of about 2.7 million people.
