Flag that once waved during the fall of Papal States, is back in the Vatican

September 29, 2011. (Romereports.com) (-ONLY VIDEO-) The Vatican's military force know as Gendarmerie celebrated the feast day of its patron Archangel St. Michael, the general of the heavenly military. 

The celebration was held in the Vatican Gardens. This year, during the ceremony, Italian Prince Sforza Ruspoli gave the Vatican the pontifical flag that still waved high when the Papal States fell in 1870.
