March 12, 2013. (Romereports.com) These three sisters come all the way from Mexico. They came specifically
during the 'Sede Vacante' with one special mission in mind:
SISTER ESPERANZA DE MARĶA
Congregation Trinitarias de Marķa
“We came specifically to pray for the conclave and the election of the new Pope. We are praying for our Holy Father.”
SISTER BERNARDETTE DE MARĶA
Congregation Trinitarias de Marķa
“We come here all the way from Baja California with a lot of prayer in our hearts. Our congregation is the Trinitarias de Maria. And our mission is perpetual adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, to pray for the Church and its priests.”
They pray before the Eucharist in the Vatican's Chapel of the Blessed Sacrament, just a few feet away from John Paul II's tomb. Their prayer schedule is quite intense.
SISTER ESPERANZA DE MARĶA
Congregation Trinitarias de Marķa
“We are here to pray before the Blessed Sacrament. We go in at 7 am and pray until 7 pm, but really we're praying 24 hours. This is our charism.”
SISTER ANGELA DE MARĶA
Congregation Trinitarias de Marķa
“We know that in this critical time, the Church needs our support and our prayers. We must come together in prayer to support the cardinals and to ask the Holy Spirit to help them make the right decision.”
They say there is no better time to pray for the Church and the next Pope, than right now, during the Sede Vacante.
SISTER ESPERANZA DE MARĶA
Congregation Trinitarias de Marķa
“When we pray, we kneel before the Blessed Sacrament and pray in silence. And when we leave we pray the rosary together.”
These three nuns say they will be here, praying for the Church and the next Pope until they hear those famous two words of 'Habemus Papam'.
