May 20, 2013. (Romereports.com) These images of Pope Francis washing the feet of  young prisoners on Holy Thursday, traveled a lot further than Rome's juvenile detention center. From afar, young inmates, who face life in prison, in the County of Los Angeles, were directly touched by the Pope's actions.  
 
Through the Jesuit Restorative Justice Initiative, some of those prisoners, sent letters to Pope Francis thanking him for sharing that day with prisoners, and also asking for prayers.
