The island recently released at least two official songs, that will be sung by locals when the Pope celebrates Mass on the island. The day is actually a holiday at the Vatican, since St. Joseph is the patron of the Catholic Church, and of course, since it's also the feast day of the Pope, Joseph Ratzinger. will be at Leon's airport to welcome him. It will be a short preview of
celebrations to come during the Pope's three day visit.

Friday March 23, Benedict XVI will begin his 23rd international trip.
Over the course of one week, he will visit Mexico and then Cuba. At 9:30
in the morning his plane will depart from Rome's Fiumicino Airport.
During the 14 hour flight, the pope will meet with the press to discuss

to Cuba in the country's state controlled television air waves. The
information was aired on a outlet called Educational Channel 2.

the cardinal talked about the Pope, explaining that he's visiting Cuba
as a 'pilgrim,' to strengthen a faith that needs to be awakened.
