10 July 2010 Austrian bishops have asked that all priests who have committed abuses
turn themselves in to authorities. They've also asked victims to name
their alleged abusers despite the pain caused by reopening wounds. “In
Austria there is no mandatory reporting. We comply with what the person

police raids of church offices last week, which he calls “surprising and
deplorable.”Police detained bishops for nine hours as they searched two Church

take place this fall and has named the 9 visitors who will lead the

May 31, 2010. An internal investigation into Jesuit-run schools in Germany has cited 205 allegations of sexual abuse committed by priests.The allegations were made by predominately male victims and focus on 12
priests, six of whom are now deceased, from several schools and youth
