(Romereports.com) The goal of the
Year of Faith is for Catholics to deepen their faith and to fully
understand it. The president of Communion and Liberation says its members will celebrate it by following the Pope's recommendations.
JULIÁN CARRÓN President, Communion and Liberation “As
a movement within the Church, we're planning on living out the Year of
Faith by following the Pope. If you think about it, he opened the Synod
on the New Evangelization, then the Year of Faith. He has given
catechesis on faith. So, following the Pope's teachings during the Year
of Faith will be fascinating.”
Julian Carron is the president of Communion and Liberation which was actually explicitly mentioned during Synod. The movement has been very successful in bringing back faith, to those who had turned away from it.
JULIÁN CARRÓN President, Communion and Liberation “Don
Giussani began this movement because he noticed what the Pope was
already saying. He noticed that faith was no longer something that was
instilled automatically.”
The movement, Communion and
Liberation was born in Italy back in 1969. It was founded by Italian
priest Luigi Giussani. It currently has roughly 200,000 members in 70
countries.
