Pope declares Paul VI venerable, approves miracle for first Colombian candidate for Saint

(Romereports.com) (-ONLY VIDEO-) Benedict XVI declared as venerable Paul VI, whom had an important role in the Second Vatican Council. The Pope also approved the miracles that allow the canonization to move ahead for Blessed Antonio Primaldo from Italy, and fellow martyrs Blessed Maria Guadalupe from Mexico, and Blessed Mother Laura Montoya, who could become the first saint from Colombia.   

After meting in private with Cardinal Angelo Amato, the prefect for the Congregation for the Causes of Saints, the Pope approved the miracles for five beatified people, and also signed the decrees of martyrdom for 34 Servants of God, and recognized the heroic virtues for 10 venerable people.
