(Romereports.com) There's a new shake up at the Vatican's Communication Department. Italian priest, Dario Edoardo Viganò, will replace Father Federico Lombardi, as the new director of the Vatican's Television Center. Viganò is an expert in cinema. He's also a professor at the Pontifical Lateran University.
Lombardi will still be the director of Vatican Radio and the Vatican Press Office, but there will also be changes there.
Angelo Scelzo, who up until now served as the undersecretary of the Pontifical Council for Social Communications,
will become vice director of the Press Office. It's a post he will
share with Father Ciro Benedettini who for years has held that same
title.
Scelzo will be in charge of accrediting journalists which up until now, was handled by the Pontifical Council for Social Communications.
