(Romereports.com) After announcing Benedict XVI would resign, a Spanish youth group plans to thank him in an interesting way. They plan to break the Guinness World Record for the longest applause of History. Using their Twitter account and website, they urge others to take part in their farewell for Benedict XVI. Their applause will last 90 minutes, beating the previous record by 10.
Already, many people are emailing them videos of themselves applauding.
You can find the group's initiative on Twitter, using the hashtag "#elaplausomaslargo,” or the longest applause.
Their effort is one more show of appreciation Benedict XVI has received, particularly online, after announcing his resignation.
