newly-appointed Greek Ambassador to the Holy See
Georgios Papadopoulos. During the meeting, spoken in English and French, the new ambassador presented his
letter of credence.
Pappadopoulos, 58, has a law degree, and is also fluent in Spanish. He also has an
extensive background in diplomacy. The statesman was ambassador to Saudi Arabia from 2002-2005, and after that, was appointed to Brussels from 2007-2010.
