Number of Cardinals down to 210

YoutubeApril 11, 2012. (Romereports.com) Cardinal Ignace Moussa I Daoud,who was the Patriarch emeritus of Antioch of the Syrians died on Holy Saturday.  Also, Puerto Rican Cardinal Luis Aponte Martinez, passed away on April 10th at the age 89.

With their deaths, the College of Cardinals is reduced to 210 members.


From the group though, there are only 123 electors, meaning they would vote in an eventual conclave to elect a Pope. The remaining 87 cardinals are non-electors because they are over the age of 80.
