The pope highlighted Peter the Venerable’s sense of unity and his understanding of the manifestation of the love of God in tending to others.Benedict XVI“He expressed an interest in those outside the Church, specifically Jews and Muslims, in ways which were remarkable for his day”.
The pope described Peter the Venerable as a great Christian for his example of obedience to God, humility and capacity of work.
