Pope Benedict XVI is now in Berlin

September 22, 2011. (Romereports.com) The Pope has arrived in Berlin. He was welcomed by Germany's president Christian Wulff and by Chancellor Angela Merkel. The pope took the time to greet a group of children who gave him flowers and recited poetry upon his arrival.


Afterward, the pope met privately with Wulff and Merkel in an airport conference room.
