February 17, one day before the ceremony that will create new cardinals, the pope will meet with all the cardinals for
“a day of reflection and prayer”. They will discuss the
New Evangelization and the
next Year of the Faith.
Archbishop Timothy Dolan of New York will be speaking as well as Salvatore Fisichella, the President of the Pontifical Council for Promoting the New Evangelization.
It was also announced that for stated health reasons, the Jesuit Karl Josef Becker will be created as a cardinal in a private ceremony after he has recovered.
