January 20, 2012. (Romereports.com) (-ONLY VIDEO-) Benedict XVI met with seminarians and young priests from Capranica College. He said that the Church expects much from them “in the work of evangelization and the new evangelization”.
He asked them to be “close to all people, without allowing any culture to be a barrier to the Word of life for which you are all proponents, even with your life”.
The audience was attended by 70 representatives of the Almo Collegio
Capranica, a seminary from the diocese of Rome that has 555 years of
history. It was founded to prepare young people for the priesthood that
didn't have economic resources. Its former alumni includes popes such as
Pius XII and Benedict XV.
