Pope departs for Lebanon

YoutubeSeptember 14, 2012. (Romereports.com) (-ONLY VIDEO-) The pope departed from Rome's Ciampino airport this morning at 9:30 AM local time to begin his four hour flight to Lebanon. He will arrive in Beirut at the Rafiq Hariri International Airport.
 
This is Benedict XVI's 24th international trip and is expected to be one of his most important due to the inter-religious relations of the Middle East. Before departing, the pope also sent a message to Italy's president, Giorgio Napolitano, expressing how his trip was one of peace.
