YoutubeJanuary 13, 2012. (Romereports.com) Benedict XVI lamented the abuses of power that sometimes occur in the name of law. He asked a group of police officers to remain “always true promoters of justice and peacemakers”.

He said this during an audience with the police working in the Vatican. The pope thanked them for the safety they provide in one of the most visited places in the world.

Benedict XVI
“The See of Peter is the center of Christianity and Catholics want to come, at least once in their life, to pray at the tombs of the apostles.”

The pope said the work of this security force was critical and noted that tourists wanting to visit Rome was a source of pride for all of Italy.
