Pope encourages youth to donate blood

(Romereports.com) Benedict XVI, who before becoming pope was an organ donor, noted during the Regina Coeli that the World Day of Blood Donors is arriving and thanked everyone who participated. “I cordially greet all donors and invite young people to follow their example,” he said.

The pope also recalled the beatification of a German priest, Alois Andritzki, who was murdered by the Nazis in the Dachau concentration camp by lethal injection.
