Benedict XVI has
said that “vocations are not the result of any human project, or of
some efficient organizational strategy,” but are rather a gift from
God. He also said vocations should be proposed with “courage,
delicacy and respect.”
He gave this message
to the Continental Congress on Vocations of Latin America, which is
taking place in Costa Rica.
Benedict XVI added
that for someone to discover their vocation means cultivating a
strong spiritual life.
He ended by saying
the best way to aid others is by helping them discover that God asks
them to give “faithful and joyful witness of one's own vocation.”
