February 18, 2011. (-ONLY VIDEO-) Benedict XVI addressed bishops from the Phillipines on the importance they play in the culture of their archipelago. He noted that Filipino culture is faced with problems of secularism, materialism, and consumerism but they are no replacement for true happiness through the joy of God. The Pope wanted the bishops to remind the young people of their country that “the glamour of this world will not satisfy their natural desire for happiness.”
