October 26, 2012. (Romereports.com) The Pope had a night out at the movies at the Vatican's Paul VI Hall. It's here that he
saw the premier of a documentary titled Art and Faith, 'Via Pulchritudinis' which translates to Way of Beauty.
The goal is to show the strong connection between art and faith. After seeing the movie, the Pope highlighted all the possibilities that come with transmitting the Christian faith through art and vice-versa.
The documentary also shows how different Popes have valued, preserved and promoted centuries of Christian art heritage. The documentary was produced by the Vatican Museums in collaboration with a Polish station tv named TBA.
The documentary is one of the initiatives that have been launched to celebrate 500 years since the completion of the Sistine Chapel's ceiling. RCG/KLH
