December 24, 2010. Benedict XVI has recorded a radio message for the BBC on Christmas Eve. This is the first time the Pope has addressed a Christmas message to one of the countries he visited during the year.

Negotiations went on for many months between the Vatican and the BBC to ensure this Christmas message from the Pope.

It has been broadcasted on the program Thought for the Day on Radio 4 in the UK.
