February 23, 2012. (Romereports.com) Benedict XVI met with the parish priests from the diocese of Rome. He was very excited to see them all together, calling them “
his priests”.
In the Paul VI Audience Hall, the pope spoke about the importance of priestly vocation in service of the Church, saying that even today God is calling, and each priest should remember when they heard
God´s call.Benedict XVI
"We are not anonymous beings without meaning in the world. We have
a calling. A voice that has called me, and I have followed. During our
lifetime we should consider it, trying to go deeper and deeper in the
way of the call."
Benedict XVI invited them, to show faith inside and outside of the
church, during their work as priests in communion with the Pope. And
after the meeting, no one left empty-handed.
