YoutubeOctober 29, 2009. The Pope said the Church should use new media and speak in a way the current culture will understand to communicate the Gospel without changing its content.

During the meeting with members of the Pontifical Council for Social Communications in Rome, the Pope stressed the Church should deepen the culture of the media to guide Christians.

Benedict XVI
"We are living a revolution in social communications, and in it the Church is taking a greater responsibility."

Benedict XVI also called on those working in the media to promote respect for the dignity of individuals.

He said they have a moral obligation to seek the truth and promote friendships to bring out the best in everyone which will benefit all.

The Pope also recalled the 50th anniversary of the founding of the Vatican Film Library, where you can find images that date back to 1896. An important sign-in 8milimeters- that points to the history of the Church and humanity.
