May 18, 2012. (Romereports.com) Benedict XVI received Bruno Joubert, the new French ambassador to the Holy See, in a private audience at the Vatican so he could officially present his letters of credence.
He was accompanied by his family and representatives of the French embassy.
There was also an exchanging of gifts as Benedict XVI gave the French
delegation medals of his pontificate as well as special rosaries that
carry the Vatican seal.
The ambassador has a long career serving the French foreign service. In
his previous position he was the ambassador to Morocco and he speaks
English and Spanish in addition to French.
