July 12, 2012. (Romereports.com) (-ONLY VIDEO-) This concert is one of the pope's summer gifts. The West-Eastern Divan Orchestra was directed by Daniel Barenboim, performing Beethoven's fifth and sixth symphony at Castel Gandolfo.

The West-Eastern Divan is an orchestra made up of young musicians from Israel, Palestine and other Arab countries that aims to improve intercultural dialogue.

The concert was also attended by the Italian President Giorgio Napolitano and his wife. They were then invited to have dinner with the pope.
