YoutubeJune 20, 2012. (Romereports.com) Today the Vatican received a gift from the Italian company NWG. This electric CityCar was given as a gift to the pope and it will now join the fleet of other vehicles that carry the papal seal.

This type of electric car can travel 90 miles before needing to recharge. After five hours the battery will be ready to go again.

The company NWG thought the pope would be a good candidate to receive the car considering his appeals to care for the environment, although they noted he will probably not be doing much driving himself.
