November 19, 2009.
Benedict XVI received the prime minister of Bangladesh, a country where 120 million people are Muslim compared to its minority Catholic counterpart of just 312,000.
The pope and the prime minister talked about the promotion of respect for human rights of all citizens.
The prime minister thanked the pope for the Church’s activities in Bangladesh in the realm of education and healthcare.
Curiously, the prime minister’s daughter kneeled emotionally at the feet of the pope who made her stand back up immediately.
