Adoration of the Eucharist, says the Pope, is an integral part of Catholicism.

He gave his message before the Congregation for Divine Worship and the Sacraments after a meeting that discussed ways to promote Eucharistic adoration. 

Benedict went on with a bit of a history lesson on the meaning of the word ‘worship,’ which he says has two different connotations. The Greek word denotes the gesture of submission, while the Latin word connotes the contact and physical embrace.
