Pope takes to Twitter after general audience to reach his two million followers

YoutubeDecember 19, 2012. (Romereports.com) (-ONLY VIDEO-) The historical first tweet on December 12 is now in the past, Benedict XVI is now an active member of social networking sites. After the general audience on Wednesday, the Pope took to Twitter to send several messages to his two million followers. The process will become more frequent with time.   

In the most recent message to the Twitterverse, he wrote “Everyone’s life of faith has times of light, but also times of darkness. If you want to walk in the light, let the word of God be your guide.” 

Twelve minutes later the Pope followed up with a second message talking about Mary and her joy in God. In the coming weeks, the Pope will also start tweeting in Chinese and Latin, in addition to the eight languages he already uses.
