July 1, 2011. (Romereports.com) (-ONLY VIDEO-) The Pope denounced the expected rise of food prices, by saying that selfishness is the root cause of hunger in the world. The statement was made during a summit with employees of the Food and Agriculture Organization.

It was the first time the Pope met with Brazilian Jose Graziano da Silva, who was recently  elected Director General of the organization.
