November 7, 2011. (Romereports.com) (-ONLY VIDEO-) Benedict XVI received the Letters of Credence from Reinhard Schweppe, the new German ambassador to the Holy See. The pope noted that “the Church does not defend its own interests, but the dignity of man”.
He also warned that “only a society that unconditionally respects and defends the dignity of every person, from conception to natural death can be called a humane society”.
The pope also spoke out against the wide use of pornography on the internet and said the Catholic Church in Germany would fight this “form of abuse in a more clear and decisive manner”.
