October 19, 2012. (Romereports.com) All is ready for conferring the Ratzinger Prize, dubbed the ‘Nobel Prize
of theology’. The ceremony will be at the Vatican on Saturday October
20th.
The award winners are Jesuit professor Brian Daley, from
the U.S.; and Rémi Brague, a French philosopher, married and father of
four.
Rémi Brague, 65, is professor emeritus at the Sorbonne in Paris. He holds Romano Guardini teaching chair and has taught courses in the U.S., Munich, Milan and at the University of Navarra, Spain.
American theologian Fr. Brian Daley, 72, teaches at the University of Notre Dame, in Indiana. He has developed an extensive body of research in dogmatic theology, and is an expert on the writings of the Church Fathers.
