November 14, 2011. (Romereports.com) On December 7th the pope will turn on the lights of this year's largest Christmas tree with the touch of an Ipad. The tree is made up of a collection of lights placed on a hill overlooking the Italian town of Gubbio. The tree of lights measures 2,132 feet high, making it the tallest in the world.

The pope will be in video conference with the ceremony from the Vatican's papal apartment.
