November 7, 2012. (Romereports.com) On November 12th, Benedict XVI will visit a nursing home in Rome, to highlight the European Year of Active Aging. The initiative is meant to raise awareness of how senior citizens contribute to society.
The Pope will visit the 'Casa-familia Viva gli anziani' nursing home, which is run by the Sant' Egidio community. It was opened in 2009 and currently has a capacity for 26 elderly people who require constant care.
