December 12, 2011. (Romereports.com) The pope was welcomed by a large group of people before celebrating Mass at Rome's church of Our Lady of Graces. On the third Sunday of Advent, the pope spoke about the toll made on families by the economic crisis. But he added that during this season, families shouldn't only focus on finding gifts, but instead on finding God.
Benedict XVI“The challenge before us is to design and propose a true journey of faith formation, involving all who approach Christian life, helping them not only to receive the Sacraments, but to live them, to be true Christians.”The pope said the future of the Church depends on the young generation.
Benedict XVI“The present and the future of the history and future of the faith entrusted in a special way to you who are new generations. The Church expects much from your enthusiasm, your ability to look ahead, to be motivated by ideals, and your desire for fullness of life choices”.Benedict XVI also made a special greeting to the children who assisted the ceremony.
