August 16, 2011. (Romereports.com) In his Sunday Angelus, Benedict XVI spoke to pilgrims about faith and how it leads to the knowledge of Christ. The Angelus was also marked by the attendance of a group of Cuban pilgrims who were making their first trip to Rome.

"I send my greeting to the Spanish-speaking groups, especially the faithful from Cuba, accompanied by Cardinal Jaime Ortega Alamino, who heads the first Cuban pilgrimage to the tombs of the Apostles, and I renew my closeness and affection to all the children of this beloved country.” The pope also asked for everyone's prayers for World Youth Day, taking place this week in Madrid.
Benedict XVI will be arriving in Spain's capital on Thursday August 18th and invited all young people to accompany him on his journey.

The pope's next Sunday Angelus will take place in Madrid for the close of World Youth Day where he will announce the location for the next meeting of Catholic youth.
