YoutubeAugust 11, 2011. (Romereports.com) Pilgrims attending World Youth Day 2011 will get a chance of “plenary indulgence,” which means the reduction or elimination of “temporal punishment,” of sins. To achieve this, the pilgrims should go to confession and receive communion seven days before or after World Youth Day. They'll also have to pray for the Pope's intentions.

The Apostolic Penitentiary also reported that it will grant "partial indulgence," or reduction of the temporal punishment of sins, for those who pray for World Youth Day.

It's the same “gift” Benedict XVI granted in World Youth Day in Cologne and Sydney.
